How many times do you trip over your words when speaking?

When you speak your muscles perform a complex dance. Speaking is very sensual and physical activity, so the muscles need constant work because they get lazy!!!!

When you go to gym you warm up, before you play a game of sport you warm up,  so why doesn’t anyone warm up their voice before speaking ?

Below are some exercises that can done quickly before you leave the house – the key words to think about are “efficiency and economy at the front of the face”.

When practicing these exercises keep in contact to the breath and think the voice forward.

Here goes………..

Push the lips forward then bare the teeth. Repeat 3 or 4 times. Repeat ; BBBBBBBBBB

Stick the tongue out – pull it in again. Keep repeating.

Place two fingers in the mouth so the jaw drops. Take the fingers out keeping that jaw free, place the tongue to the top of the mouth, bottom then side to side.

Start slowly and gradually speed up. You are just stretching the tongue.

Repeat
